THE NEW NORMAL IN OBESITY HEALTHCARE?
Harness Technology and Digital Therapeutics in Obesity Management

Technology and digital therapeutics are rapidly transforming obesity management by enabling more personalized care, greater patient engagement, and improved clinical outcomes. This presentation will focus on the practical integration of digital tools into obesity treatment, including the use of wearable devices for monitoring physical activity, sleep, and dietary habits. We will also discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) tools can help support obesity and lifestyle medicine practice. The expanding role of telemedicine, virtual appointments, remote coaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration, will be highlighted as a means to increase access and continuity of care for patients with obesity. Additionally, the session will explore the emerging application of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices for metabolic profiling and real-time feedback, allowing for more precise and responsive interventions. Key barriers to the adoption of these technologies, such as digital literacy, data privacy, and cost, will also be addressed. Attendees will gain practical insights into overcoming these challenges and effectively integrating digital therapeutics into clinical practice, paving the way for the future of technology-enabled obesity care.
